For those experiencing and/or fleeing domestic
violence, whether the perpetrator is a partner,
ex-partner or family member. The team offers support
and advice on legal issues (such as obtaining
injunctions etc) housing, welfare benefits and
children. Advisors can accompany victims to
appointments (such as with solicitors, housing, DSS,
Court, etc) either as an advocate or friend.
Advisors can help in the completion of works and/or
write letters on the victim’s behalf. Those living
with domestic violence are invited to contact the
team even if they just need someone to talk to
whilst deciding what they want to do. The team gives
training on domestic violence issues for a range of
professionals and in schools. |

children between the ages of 5 – 16 years. Other
children’s support services include an outreach
project that provides services to children and
